SBI Clerk Recruitment 2024 Selection process:

The selection process for SBI Clerk Recruitment involves the following stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I)

• Nature: Objective test, qualifying in nature.
• Mode: Online.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2024

To apply for the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) position, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Educational Qualification

• Minimum Requirement:
  A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification as recognized by the Central Government.
• Final-Year Students:
  • Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation can also apply, provided they produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before the specified date in the notification.

2. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 20 years (as of the cutoff date specified in the notification).
• Maximum Age: 28 years (as of the cutoff date).
• Born Between: Candidates must have been born not earlier than the cutoff date and not later than the cutoff date as specified.

Age Relaxation (as per government norms):

• SC/ST: 5 years.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
• PWD (Persons with Disabilities):
  • General/EWS: 10 years.
  • OBC: 13 years.
  • SC/ST: 15 years.
• Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen:
  • Actual period of service rendered + 3 years (8 years for SC/ST) up to a maximum age of 50 years.
• Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Judicially Separated:
  • 7 years (subject to a maximum of 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST).

3. Nationality

Candidates must satisfy one of the following:

1. Indian Citizen
2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently in India.
4. A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam, intending to settle in India permanently.

Note: Candidates under categories 2, 3, and 4 must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

4. Local Language Proficiency

• Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state/UT they are applying for.
• A Local Language Proficiency Test may be conducted for candidates who do not meet this criterion.

Other Key Points:

• Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer operation is required.
