PM-Kisan Installment : The Government of India has announced the beneficiary status for the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana for 2024. All eligible applicants can now check the release date of the 18th installment by visiting the official PM Kisan website.

The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has announced the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana. As part of this initiative, the Government of India is providing financial assistance to financially vulnerable farmers across the country. On October 5, a sum of Rs 2000 will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible farmers under the scheme.

The PM Kisan Yojana is designed to help farmers meet their daily expenses, reducing their dependency on external financial sources. Under the 18th installment, a total of Rs 20,000 crore has been disbursed to farmers across India, offering significant support to the agricultural community.

The eligibility criteria for the PM Kisan Installment are as follows:

  1. Indian Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. Farmer Status: Only marginal or small farmers are eligible to apply for this scheme.
  3. Pensioners Exclusion: The applicant should not be a retired person receiving a pension of at least Rs 10,000 per month.
  4. Professional Exclusion: The applicant should not be employed as a professional in fields like law, medicine, engineering, or as a Chartered Accountant (CA).

These conditions are set to ensure that the benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana reach those who are most in need, primarily small and marginal farmers.

The benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana are as follows:

  1. Financial Assistance: Eligible farmers will receive financial support from the Government of India to help with their agricultural activities and daily expenses.
  2. Direct Bank Transfer: A sum of INR 2000 will be directly transferred to the selected applicants’ bank accounts, ensuring quick and secure payment.
  3. Ease of Access: Farmers can check their beneficiary status online from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for physical visits to government offices.
  4. Financial Independence: The scheme helps farmers reduce their dependency on external sources for day-to-day expenses and providing them with more financial stability.
  5. Improved Standard of Living: By offering direct support, the scheme aims to uplift the social status and improve the quality of life for farmers across India and helping them thrive in their agricultural pursuits.

To check the installment status of PM Kisan, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the official PM Kisan website at pmkisan.gov.in.
  2. Select “Check Payment Status”: On the homepage, find and click on the “Check Payment Status” option.
  3. Enter Details: You will be redirected to a new page where you need to enter your registration number, mobile number, and Aadhaar number in the given fields.
  4. Receive OTP: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number you provided. Enter the OTP in the given field.
  5. Submit: After entering the OTP, click on the “Submit” button.

To continue receiving payments under the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers need to complete their eKYC. Here are the three methods available:

1. OTP-Based eKYC

Farmers must have an Aadhaar-linked mobile number for this option.

Steps:

  1. Visit the PM-KISAN portal.
  2. Click on the “e-KYC” option located at the top-right corner of the homepage.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number in the provided field.
  4. Complete the process by entering the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

2. Biometric-Based eKYC

This method is available at more than 4 lakh Common Service Centres (CSC) and State Seva Kendras (SSK) across the country.

Steps:

  1. Visit your nearest CSC/SSK with your Aadhaar card and Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
  2. Use the CSC Locator to find the nearest center.
  3. The CSC/SSK operator will assist in biometric authentication using Aadhaar-based verification.
  4. Pay a convenience fee of Rs. 15 to complete the eKYC process.

By completing the eKYC process via either method, farmers ensure their eligibility to receive PM-KISAN benefits without interruptions.
